Services include inventory management, cold chain packaging and shipping, storage and fulfillment of medical devices, and lab and clinical trial logistics.

UPS Healthcare's global infrastructure, its UPS® Premier visibility service, its track and trace technology, and its global quality system are well-suited to meet today's complex logistics demands for the pharmaceutical, medical device, and laboratory diagnostic industries.

Reporting into the Vice President of UPS Healthcare SMB sales in Europe, the Sales Director will have overall responsibility for maintaining and increasing the sales of UPS Healthcare portfolio of services within the region.

The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of professional salespeople dedicated to promoting our UPS Healthcare service offering across Ireland, UK and the Nordic countries.

Job Description:

  • In partnership with marketing, lead the sales team in identifying new prospect accounts that fit UPS Healthcare strategy and portfolio of services within the region.

  • Collaboration with team members and other internal stakeholders to develop robust account strategies and ensure effective application of sales and negotiation skills. 

  • Drive results in key areas of the business plan including profit, revenue growth, people development and brand awareness.

  • Lead and mentor the sales team through coaching, expert product and industry knowledge.

  • Ensure sales team compliance with company policies, CRM administration and contracting/onboarding process.

  • Manage the performance of the multi-country sales team through regular 1:1 performance and territory reviews.

  • Support sales team in high impact customer engagements.

  • Collaborate with cross functional departments to address customer or organizational internal challenges. Support process improvement efforts as required.

  • Actively contribute to defining the product and marketing strategies to support European growth plans.

  • Provide regular analysis and insights based on keeping up to date with key customers, industry trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or International equivalent - Required.

  • Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle

  • Willing to travel.

  • Microsoft Office skills.

  • Availability to work flexible shift hours and provides own vehicle for business.

  • Demonstrates a familiarity with both UPS’s and competitors’ core service offerings.

  • Demonstrates negotiation techniques.

  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of supply chain concepts within the Healthcare industry and able to recommend solutions to issues.

  • Previous supervisory experience – Preferred.
