Director of Sales
UPS Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, is expanding in Europe and is seeking a highly qualified candidate to be the Director of Sales (DOS) for the Europe Region, based out of the UK to help us grow our digital channel partner program. The Director of Sales reports directly to the Europe Region Vice President with a direct line to the Vice President of Global Sales in Atlanta, GA.
UPS Capital is the supply chain partner of choice that provides risk mitigation solutions for companies that trade and source globally. UPS Capital was founded in the United States in 1998 and started to expand in Europe in 2011. We are present in 19 countries on 4 continents. The Europe team is currently present in 8 countries and growing.

The Director of Sales will be responsible for working with 3rd parties to develop and implement innovative embedded insurance digital solutions for online ecommerce and marketplace platforms. The DOS will also have the responsibility of managing sales teams in 4 different countries, formulating sales strategies to meet sales plans, develop best in class industry knowledge and practices within his/her department.

The Director of Sales collaborates with outside Vendors, Marketing, Digital Experience, Operations, Finance and the Customer Solutions team to formulate account strategies for leveraging digital insurance solutions. He/She will lead a diverse team, engage with top customers to identify needs (e.g., determine technology capabilities, reduces supply chain risk, etc.), manage and execute a business plan, foster industry relationships, monitor quality performance reports and create a positive vibe within the department supporting our strategy to be The Employer of Choice.
Responsibilities and Duties
- This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial role in which you will lead a diverse sales team through the understanding and selling a risk solution portfolio through the lens of embedded insurance technology and value propositions.
- Enthusiastic leader who will be responsible for developing a culture of technology lead insurance solutions, via APIs and other leading integration technologies that align to our customer’s needs.
- Innovate solutions to serve our customer’s needs.
- Has a deep understating of Sales Operations including the go-to-market motion, how sales models/sales procedures work successfully in the field and project management methods.
- Participates in the development of customer account strategies to determine an optimal approach to win and maintain business, increase profitability, and maintain market position. Coordinates cross-functional timelines and service needs in order to gather market, pricing, and industry information to structure pricing plan within deadlines.
- Happy to hold others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals and maintain consistent practices across the region while keeping a positive vibe.
OTHER CRITERIA
Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree and prefers a Master’s Degree.
