Job Description:
Job Summary
This position manages the daily activities of the Finance and Accounting department in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and UPS policy. He/She assists in the development and support of the staff in the execution of strategies designed to achieve financial objectives. This position supervises various positions determined by the district including: Specialists, Procurement Administrators, Database Programmers, Administrative Payroll Liaisons, Payroll Processors, and Senior Purchasing Liaisons.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 4 Financial analysts to ensure timely deliverables
Querying various internal and external data sources
Analyzing the gathered data for patterns, trends and insights
Concluding and formulating tangible recommendations
Running, analysis and creating periodical managerial reports and packs.
Building presentations that inform the target audience in a concise and structured manner about the outcome of the analyses and the implications for the business.
Coordinate Business Plan cycle across functions in UK and be the main contact point for UKIN district.
Maintain and improve reporting processes in UK/UKIN to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Liaising with different departments across UK to provide financial support and ensure financial deliverables
SKills/Qualifications:
2-3 years relevant experience in Finance function, team leading experiences is a plus
University degree (Finance, Economics, etc.); preferably MBA
Experienced with Financial reporting, variance analysis and budgeting processes.
Data-driven and taking initiative in developing new measurements and metrics
Outstanding productivity and leadership characteristics
Creative and logical thinker; strategic mind set
Structured approach; process oriented; able to prioritize
Deductive reasoning skills; able to translate findings into conclusions and recommendations
Strong work ethic and high degree of accuracy; eye for detail; accountable
Perform well under pressure; ability to meet tight & continuous deadlines
Able to build strong relationships with both internal and external business partners
Familiarity with VBA and SQL a plus
Excellent presentation and writing skills
